AMONG THE HIDDEN: BY MARGARET PETERSON HADDIX

Product Details

REVIEW: *****

I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars. It had a unique plot line and interesting main characters. I did not like that the author killed of an important character. The book has you wanting for more and ending in cliff hanger. I also didn’t like the ending. Can’t wait to read the second book!

SUMMARY:

In the book there are children called shadow children. These are the third children. The government thinks that if families contain more than two children, then the city/ town will run out of food. Luke, one of the main characters, has to be hidden, like all of the other shadow children. He is lonely, until he finds that his neighbors also have a third child. Luke sneaks out of the house, because he can’t leave it, it is too dangerous, and meets their neighbor’s third child. He is afraid he will be caught by the population police. The population police find the third children and kill them off. His neighbor’s third becomes his friend and is planning this rally. The rally is going to go to the president’s house and demanding freedom for the third children. Read to find out more, I recommend it!
